When I was young my boss gave me a book he wrote. He personally wrote on the first page to me as a young executive,
“Idea makes money. Money doesn’t make idea.”
For me it remains true for myself. I see many successful people who are successful because they love what they do; because they have the passion; because they have unique ideas.
I have a friend who loves leather. His bag designs are very unique. He takes proud of it. He makes bags and he sell bags. Does selling bags make him rich? No, he doesn’t want to be rich. But he wants to enjoy his life. It makes him a good living while he has time to enjoy with his friends, spending sometimes to teach people who want to know how to make bags, buying pet foods for street dogs around his house. He loves what he is doing.
I see people who run after money and success blindly fail because they don’t have enough passion and love about what they are doing, because they don’t have enough knowledge of doing it, they do it because someone else does it and it has been successful. I also see people who have a lot in themselves, but don’t realize and know how to use to make them happy while searching for something ideal of which I don’t believe they will ever find. For me it is the excuse of not doing things.
Discover yourself is important and it can be very simple. It is just to write down what’s in you and how would you bring it out and use it for your success. There is no formulation of success. The key for success is you.
The path to success is simple 1st discover yourself and then 2nd do something about it.
1) Discover what you want. Identifying your goals.
Identify your goals.
Goals don’t have to be big but it needs to reflect they value you have. Goals are something you want to reach but not yet there. Goals are something that would make you better than where you are right now. Goals are the evaluation and drive for you to move forward. Goals are what you are looking for. Goals are what you want to make a difference about it.
Rate yourself from one to ten in each of the life areas. Ten being perfect, it can’t get any better, one meaning lots of improvement is needed in this area.

Career:
Money:
Family:
Peace:
Fun:
Relationship(s):
Fulfillment:
Anything else that you want to add.
2) Do something about it
1) Look at the lists and think about 1 area most important to you. Think about 1 thing you would like to make a difference, what you would like to achieve that would make the biggest difference in your life in the next 6 months. It could be as simple as to lose weight.
2) What would be the most benefit to you when you achieve it? This will help double check your goal whether it is something that you value or something that you really want. If the benefit is clear and it is what you really want. You will be more committed into it. It could be that you want to lose weight so that you can do what you would love to do – climbing mountains, wearing your favorite swimsuit, or as simple as to attract the person you like next door.
3) Imagine what your life would be when you achieve the goal. This will help to plant and confirm the need inside you.
4) Everyone have the excuse of not doing it. Write down the excuse that you usually use when you do not want to do things. Then kill the excuse. I don’t have time, find time. I don’t have a trainer, find a trainer. I have to stay back and work, go out and come back later. I am …, no you are not. Get your act together and do it. Think about what you would be if you could eliminate things that hold yourself back.
5) Draw up a plan. How would you do to achieve the goals, what steps to be taken, who will you seek help with, where would you do it, and when you would start? Do not think you will try, but commit with it. If you cannot commit, go back to step 1 and 2. It might be something that you don’t really want in the first place. If family is your value you will find time to be with your children.
6) Double check along the way whether you are on track. If you are, ask yourself why, so that you can repeat that behavior. If you are not, change it.
7) When you achieve your goal. Find time to celebrate it. Go to a movie. Buy yourself a nice bag. A best thing to do is to find a reason of being successful to celebrate.
Go after another goal. Hah Hah That is life, isn’t it?
